| Description: | Repairs Caterpillar truck engines to the customer and supervisor’s satisfaction. Removes, installs, disassembles, assembles, rebuilds, and reconditions according to specifications applying parts reusability guidelines. |
| Duties: | • Troubleshoots and tests various machine systems, compares test results to specifications and determines if the system is working as designed.
• Uses service manuals, STW, SIS and parts books effectively to address technical issues. Performs all required tasks in accordance with printed procedures.
• Uses parts books and SIS effectively and orders parts required to complete repairs.
• Writes complete, factual service reports for files and warranty purposes using STW.
• Evaluates parts to determine reusability and cause of failure.
• Uses troubleshooting methods to repair and diagnose machine failures and perform repairs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

| Qualifications: | High School diploma or equivalency required. One to three years minimum experience in diagnosis, repair, disassembly, and assembly of On-highway Trucks and Engines required. Excellent customer service skills required. Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record required, CDL preferred. Previous dealer experience preferred. Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems required. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with others to include customers, vendors, employees and the public. Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision required. Ability to work overtime with minimal notice required. Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds without assistance, and stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, reach, lean forward, push and pull on a regular basis. |
