| Description: | General Summary:
The purpose of this position is to drive growth and profitability within the NMC Heavy Construction Division by developing and implementing a strategic business plan. To be effective, the Used Equipment Manager must establish an understanding of the following objectives and accountabilities

| Duties: | Essential Job Functions:
1. Effectively manage the used equipment group with the objectives of meeting the financial objectives established for the UED and provide strong support to meeting the objectives of the Heavy and General Construction Division objectives of strong profitability while increasing market share.
2. Establish values for new and used construction equipment customer trades.
3. Purchase used construction equipment for resale in an open market, including auctions and private party owners.
4. Sell and trade used equipment to wholesale and retail customers in North America and foreign locations.
5. Consult with sales territory managers to appraise and define values for used construction equipment.
Supportive Job Functions:
1. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.*
2. Communicate closely with NMC Product Support Managers to optimize repairs and facilitate machine delivery.
3. Assist in the management of the rental fleet by establishing true market values of the machinery assets and providing recommendations for optimal rollout of fleet decisions for the Rental department.

| Qualifications: | Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; Strong decision making skills with knowledge of current market trends; Exceptional inter-personal skills with proven ability to challenge the status quo, including strong negotiation skills; 50-75% travel possible in and out of Nebraska. Ability to invest company money to purchase machines for resale to maximize profitability.
Education and Experience:
Prefer 3-5 years sales and appraisal work with heavy construction machines; Bachelors degree preferred; MBA is a plus
